Banana flour is a revolutionary type of Super-Food. This high-fibre flour is made from raw green bananas. Green bananas are peeled, chopped, gently dried using the sun-dehydration methodology, and then ground into flour. The green banana process requires 8-10kg of raw green bananas to produce 1kg of banana flour. This type of starch is called resistant starch, which functions kind of like soluble fiber. Many studies in humans show that resistant starch can have powerful health benefits.

How to use Green Banana Flour?

  • For baking – Use 30% less banana flour than the suggested flour as per your recipe.
  • For making delicious milkshakes or porridge, mix it with water or milk and cook on low flame. Recommended using 1-2 tbsp for raw intake.
  • As a THICKENING AGENT for gravies, curries & sauces –add a tablespoon of Banana flour to your recipe instead of using cornflour or refined flour.

    So i am on a journey of being gluten free due to my healthy issues. So it is a fight to keep on looking for something new as well as healthy. I came across this brand during my search and i thought of giving it a try.

    Let me tell you. I am so happy to try this green banana flour. Best thing is it does not impart its own specific taste (which was good) so i used this for making pancakes and oh my they were so soft and good. I even added this flour for my chapati and its good.

    Being a vegetarian and trying to add as much as plant diet i am for sure gonna buy this again.

    First class gluten-free flour substitute - really versatile.

    Really easy to incorporate instead of flour – a friend is gluten intolerant and I’ve been trying out some recipes for her and her children to try. Nihkan flour makes lovely light bakes and super savoury pancakes as well as sweet – so everyone is happy 😃 .
    Tastes much better than the standard gluten-free foods – possible because it’s home-baked? The taste is neutral so it’s incredibly versatile. I’ll be trying other products from this range.
