Healthy Gluten Free Sprouted Millet Khichdi

  • 1 cup (125g) NihKan’s Dehydrated sprouts- Super Millets Mix
  • 2 tbsps ghee
  • 1½ tsps cumin seeds
  • 2-3 green chillies, chopped
  • 7-8 curry leaves
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 large potato, cut into small cubes
  • 1 small carrot, peeled and cut into small cubes
  • 4-5 French beans, chopped
  • ¼ cup green peas
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tsps red chilli powder
  • ¼ tsp asafoetida
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 cups water approx 650 ml water
  • Freshly chopped coriander leaves


  1. Take NihKan Sprouted Millets. Add water and cook in Pressure cooker till 3-4 whistles are released. approx for 10-15 mins until grains are soft to chew.
  2. Add onion and sauté till translucent. Add potato, carrot, sauté well and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add French beans and sauté well for 1 minute.
  3. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt, asafoetida, and mix well. Add Nihkan Sprouted millets and mix well.
  4. Add 3 cups of water, chopped coriander and mix well. Cover and cook till 4-5 whistles are released. approx 10-15 mins until grains are soft to chew.
