Sprouts Dal Gravy Made with Dehydrated Sprouts Super 7 Grains Mix

This wholesome Sprouts Dal Gravy is a hearty, protein-rich dish made with Nihkan’s Dehydrated Sprouts Super 7 Grains Mix, which includes sprouted lentils and grains like green mung, black chickpeas, moth beans, foxtail millet, kodo millet, finger millet, and pearl millet. Perfect for lunch or dinner, it offers a great balance of taste and nutrition and pairs wonderfully with rice, rotis, or millets.

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup Nihkan’s Dehydrated Sprouts Super 7 Grains Mix

  • 1 small onion, chopped

  • 1 small tomato, chopped

  • 1 green chili (optional)

  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste

  • ¼ tsp turmeric

  • ½ tsp red chili powder

  • ½ tsp garam masala

  • Salt to taste

  • 1 tbsp oil or ghee

  • Fresh coriander to garnish

  • 2.5–3 cups water

Directions:

  1. Rinse and soak the sprouts mix in warm water for 1 hour.

  2. In a pressure cooker or deep pan, heat oil/ghee.

  3. Sauté chopped onions until translucent, then add ginger-garlic paste.

  4. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until soft.

  5. Add turmeric, chili powder, and garam masala. Mix well.

  6. Add the soaked sprouts mix and water.

  7. Pressure cook for 3–4 whistles or simmer in a pan until soft.

  8. Adjust salt and spices. Garnish with fresh coriander.

  9. Serve hot with roti, rice, or millets.
