This Instant Falafel recipe is a wholesome, protein-packed twist on the traditional Middle Eastern favorite. Made using Nihkan’s Sprouted Green Banana Flour and Super Legume Mix Flour, these falafels are not only gluten-free and gut-friendly, but also rich in fiber and essential nutrients. With a crispy outer layer and soft, flavorful interior, this version is perfect for wraps, bowls, or healthy snacking.
Ingredients:

½ cup Nihkan’s Sprouted Green Banana Flour

½ cup Nihkan’s Super Legume Mix Flour

1 medium onion, finely chopped

1 tbsp garlic paste
-
½ tsp baking soda
-
1 tsp cumin powder
-
½ tsp coriander powder
-
½ tsp chili powder (optional)

½ tsp salt or to taste

2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or coriander

Water as needed

Oil for shallow or deep frying
Directions:

In a mixing bowl, combine green banana flour and super legume mix flour.

Add chopped onion, garlic paste, spices, herbs, baking soda, and salt.

Add water gradually to form a thick batter/dough.

Shape into small patties or balls.

Heat oil in a pan and fry until golden and crisp on both sides.
