Gluten Free Potato French fries (with extra nutrition of Banana flour)

Ingredients

    • 1 cup of potatoes cut into french fries thin pieces
    • 1/2 cup Nihkan Banana Flour
    • 1/2 teaspoon ground Cumin
    • 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
    • 1 teaspoon Salt
    • Oil for frying
     

Note

    • Banana flour can be used as a batter for any vegetable / meat for frying.
     

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together NihKan Banana flour, cumin, red chilli, salt and a little water to make a batter which is slightly thinner in consistency. Add 1tsp of hot oil. 
  2. Dip individual pieces of potatoes in batter and put them in the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan or the temperature of the oil will come down drastically. Fry the potatoes on medium high heat till they are golden brown and crisp.
  3. Remove them on a tissue lined plate and serve immediately.
