Lentils Burger Bun Made with Sprouted Legume Mix Flour

A soft, wholesome burger bun packed with plant-based protein and fiber! This Lentils Burger Bun is made using Nihkan’s Sprouted Legume Mix Flour, which includes sprouted moong, black gram, and chickpeas. Ideal for healthy burger recipes and perfect for gluten-free, vegan diets.

Ingredients:

  • 1½ cup Nihkan’s Sprouted Legume Mix Flour

  • ¼ tsp baking soda

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 1 tsp jaggery

  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar

  • 1 tbsp psyllium husk (for binding)

  • ½ tsp active dry yeast (optional)

  • 1 tbsp oil or ghee

  • Warm water as needed

Directions:

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, salt, jaggery, baking soda, psyllium husk, and yeast (if using).

  2. Add apple cider vinegar and oil/ghee. Gradually add warm water to form a dough.

  3. Knead well and let it rest for 20–30 minutes.

  4. Shape into small bun rounds and allow a second rest of 10–15 minutes.

  5. Bake at 180°C for 20–25 minutes until golden.

  6. Cool slightly and serve with your favorite burger filling.

Serving Size:
Makes 4 medium-sized burger buns.
