Millet Burger Buns Made with All-Purpose Millet Mix

These Millet Burger Buns are soft, fluffy, and packed with nutrients. Made with Nihkan’s All-Purpose Millet Mix, they are a wholesome substitute for traditional white flour buns. Perfect for healthy sandwiches, burgers, and sliders, these buns are gluten-free, rich in fiber, and gut-friendly.

Ingredients:

  • 1½ cup Nihkan’s All-Purpose Millet Mix

  • ¼ tsp baking soda

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 1 tsp jaggery powder

  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar

  • 1 tbsp psyllium husk

  • ½ tsp active dry yeast (optional)

  • 1 tbsp oil or ghee

  • Warm water as needed

Directions:

  1. Mix millet mix, salt, jaggery powder, baking soda, and psyllium husk in a bowl.

  2. Add apple cider vinegar, yeast (optional), and oil/ghee.

  3. Gradually add warm water to form a soft dough.

  4. Let the dough rest for 20–30 minutes, then shape into buns.

  5. Allow shaped buns to rest for another 10–15 minutes.

  6. Bake at 180°C for 20–25 minutes until lightly golden.

  7. Cool and use for burgers or sandwiches.

Serving Size:
Makes approximately 4 medium-sized buns.
