Sorghum Cheese Stuffed Breads – Gluten‑Free Stuffed Flatbread

These gluten‑free Sorghum Cheese Stuffed Breads are soft and delicious Indian-style flatbreads made using NIHKAN Sprouted Sorghum (Jowar) Flour. Stuffed with a simple and satisfying cheese filling, they’re high in fiber, gut-friendly, and naturally free from gluten — a perfect wholesome twist on traditional stuffed parathas or kulchas.

Ingredients
For the Dough:

  • 1 cup NIHKAN Sprouted Sorghum Flour

  • Warm water (to knead)

  • Pinch of salt

For the Filling:

  • ½ cup grated cheese (or dairy-free alternative)

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • ¼ tsp oregano (optional)

Directions

  1. In a bowl, mix sorghum flour and salt. Gradually add warm water to form a soft, pliable dough.

  2. Divide dough into equal portions and roll out small rounds.

  3. Place 1–2 tbsp cheese mixture in the center of each round. Fold over and seal edges or place another rolled-out round on top and press edges to seal.

  4. Gently roll stuffed bread into desired thickness.

  5. Heat a skillet and cook each side on medium flame until golden brown, brushing lightly with ghee or oil.

  6. Serve warm with chutney or yogurt.
