Savoury Spiral Pancakes – Gluten-Free Savory Breakfast

These unique Savory Spiral Pancakes made with sweet potato noodles and NIHKAN’s Green Banana Flour Pancake Mix are a delicious way to get your veggies in. Packed with fiber, lightly spiced, and naturally gluten-free, they’re perfect for a wholesome breakfast, light lunch, or creative evening snack. Spiralized veggies never tasted this good!

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup NIHKAN Green Banana Flour Pancake Mix

  • 1 large sweet potato, peeled and spiralized

  • 1/2 cup chopped spring onions

  • 2 eggs, beaten (optional for vegan)

  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 2 tsp olive oil

Directions

  1. Peel and spiralize the sweet potato. Cut into 5-inch strands.

  2. In a bowl, combine pancake mix, sweet potato, onions, eggs (if using), garlic, salt, and pepper. Add a little water or milk if the batter is too thick.

  3. Heat a non-stick pan over medium-low heat.

  4. Pour in the mixture to form 4 small pancakes.

  5. Cook until golden brown on the bottom (about 3 mins), then flip and press gently to flatten. Cook for another 3 mins until crisp.

  6. Serve hot with sour cream or dip of your choice.
