Millet Oats and Choco Chips Tea Cake with Millets Baking Mix

Enjoy a perfect tea-time indulgence with this Millet, Oats & Choco Chips Tea Cake made using Nihkan’s Millets Baking Mix. It’s moist, lightly sweet, and studded with chocolate chips—making it a wholesome and healthy treat for all age groups. Ideal for breakfast, snacking, or dessert, this cake combines the goodness of oats and millets with the fun of choco chips!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Nihkan’s Millets Baking Mix

  • ½ cup rolled oats

  • ½ cup jaggery or coconut sugar

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • ½ tsp baking soda

  • A pinch of salt

  • ½ cup milk (or plant-based milk)

  • ¼ cup oil (coconut oil or sunflower oil)

  • 1 tsp vanilla essence

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice or vinegar

  • ¼ cup dark choco chips

  • Optional: chopped nuts or dried fruits

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease and line a loaf or round cake tin.

  2. In a large bowl, mix Millets Baking Mix, oats, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

  3. In another bowl, whisk together jaggery, oil, milk, vanilla, and lemon juice.

  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed. Fold in choco chips and any optional add-ins.

  5. Pour the batter into the prepared tin and bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

  6. Allow to cool before slicing and serving.

Serving Size:
Makes 1 medium loaf or 6–8 slices.
